This is what it feels like, hiking in East Greenland.
The nature is so vast it makes us humans feel small in the grand scheme of it all. The remoteness and rugged landscapes feel calm but powerful — and then, suddenly, a patch of delicate purple flowers, growing resiliently here in the north.
This one in particular is called Niviarsiaq, the national flower of Greenland.

This is what it feels like, hiking in East Greenland.

Iffiorferalak hedder den lille passionerede bager, som bager på pizzamel, Øland og en smule rug, fordi det er det som er tilgængeligt. Brødet er lunt og lækkert og nu skal vi have god kaffe. Heroppe findes nemlig også en skøn kaffebar kaffivik som også sælger nyristede bønner. Hvad mere kan man ønske sig. You`ve probably heard that we only see 10% of an iceberg above water 🌊🏔️

But did you know that this fraction varies? White icebergs contain more air, giving them their buoyant appearance, while blue icebergs, have less air trapped within. And then there are the "diamond/glass icebergs" with almost no air, appearing crystal-clear.

The enormous icebergs of the Ilulissat Icefjord are impressive no matter which way you experience them. Some of their peaks stand more than 100m above the level of the water (remember this is only 7-10% of the total size!), but it is only by looking up at these skyscrapers of ice from the perspective of a boat that you get a true sense of their massive scale.
