🇬🇱 Over the last week I had the incredible opportunity and honor to be a part of the coach team on a Sea Kayak Guide Course in Greenland, sharing some of my experience as a Sea kayak guide and coach.
What an amazing people, with a strong kayaking tradition wanting, to share their love for nature and history. All of them keen on developing Sea kayak tourism in Greenland.

A massive shout-out and huge respect go to Saki Daorana and Maligiaq Padilla for making this happen. Sakis`s incredible dedication over the last four years, all the hard work she put into bringing this to life is admirable .

It has been fantastic and inspiring working along fellow coaches, Guðni Páll Viktorsson, Maligiaq Padilla and Jim Kennedy. thank you for a great week

Happy Father`s Day! 👨‍🍼

Today, I was particularly reminded of the power and impact of a father in a child`s growth.

I learned and inherited the entrepreneurial mindset from my dad, as well as the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone.

What I see my husband teaching Evelyn, so far, I cannot or don`t teach:
– Fishing: Evelyn started fishing when she was three and has caught fish numerous times by herself (though my husband needs to help her pull the fish out of the water).
– Money management: She is learning not only to save money but also to find money and trade (goods and barter deals).
– Shooting dried beans: This is something I see young boys doing when they play outside. However, Evelyn enjoys playing that sort of game too.

What are specific things that dad teach your child(ren) and mum doesn`t in your home situation? 😸

Day 9 of our Iconic Iceland, Greenland and Canada cruise: After days of sea and ice, we finally stepped ashore in Greenland. The town of Nuuk welcomed us with a quiet stillness, wrapped in cold fog and softened light. Viking arranged a shuttle to the center of town, and from there, we wandered into the old district — where color and character stand proudly against the gray.

Crimson churches, ochre walls, and slate roofs perch on ancient rock like Arctic sentinels. In the harbor, a lone boat cut through the mist, as if emerging from a dream.

A striking contrast — the stillness of the landscape, and the spirit of a people who thrive in it.

After four days en route, we finally arrived at one of the most remote places in the world, also known as the largest island in the world—Greenland. 🇬🇱

The beauty is not just seen but felt, as if you are in another world! 🌎

Staying among the local Inuit people is a fun experience, providing cultural immersion and a much better price-to-space ratio. So, I chose a modern house with an iceberg view as our base for our entire stay in Ilulissat, Greenland. 👍
