Det nybyggede lavprishotel findes midt i den grønlandske hovedstad Nuuk.

Hotellet er bygget med fokus på funktionalitet og design, og de komfortable værelser er indrettet med fladskærms-tv og gratis trådløst internet.

Qaqortoq, with a population of just over 3,000, is the largest town in south Greenland and the 4th largest in the country. Qaqortoq is a town of artists and craftsmen. Local artist Aka Hoegh had the idea in 1993 of an open-air sculpture gallery. With the help of other Nordic artists, sculptures were carved into the existing rock faces and boulders in the town to form the Stone and Man sculpture trail. Although I saw several of the 40 or so sculptures around the town, this was the only one that I photographed.

I only thought Greenland was magnificent from land and by ship, but flying over the icefields today had me speechless. 😮

This terrain, what it takes to survive in a place like this, to explore such a region -- I simply can't fathom it. And the sheer beauty, not sure I've ever cried looking at nature, but I did today.

Camping in East-Greenland was on our bucketlist.

Lucky us, we could last-minute join Sermilik Adventures for some fishing of fresh cod and fresh salmon together with our captain Tobias and guide Line. After all the fishing we set up our tents at a beautiful fjord , north of Kuumit (Tasiilaqfjord)

There the freshly caught fish was cooked and served the traditional way : straight out of the boiling pot onto a rock :
Let’s eat ! It was the best fish I ever ate !

And after the best night sleep ever please enjoy the fairytale sunrise as much as we did!

Camping in East-Greenland was on our bucketlist.

Day 6

A foggy start to the day lead to moody wet views as we made our way down to the icefjord. With our luggage still not with us, we cut our morning short in the fog to go and buy some clothes and gear. Our rain gear, gloves pants and all our clean clothes are all in Iceland – at least that’s closer than Copenhagen where they were until Tuesday.

So we had lunch, spent some money and then the fog lifted and the day showed us the wonders again!
