Nous sommes partis en début d’après-midi d’Ittoqqortoormiit pour le Scoresby Sund.
C’est le plus grand système de fjords au monde. Prolongement sinueux de la mer du Groenland, il s’étend sur 110 km dans la partie orientale du Groenland. Sa structure arborescente se ramifie ensuite en un gigantesque système de fjords, dont le plus long se trouve à 350 km de la côte.
En remontant le Scoresby Sund, des pics enneigés nous accueillent. D’innombrables icebergs apparaissent, sculptés en d’impossibles formes géométriques par le vent et l’eau. Partout où vous regardez, vous voyez un autre glacier.
Les pics culminent à plus de 2000m. Des à-pics vertigineux.

Na Grenlandii to nawet wschody jakieś takie bardziej wykwintne i bardziej złote niż żółte, ale liczę, że na dzisiejszy fotowtorek zdjęcie się nada 🫠
Co robiliście w ostatni poniedziałek sierpnia przed 11 rano? U mnie było chwilę po wschodzie słońca, byłam około 4,5 tysiąca kilometrów dalej niż teraz, podziwiałam ten widok i było jakieś 25 stopni mniej 🙈

Qaqortoq, with a population of just over 3,000, is the largest town in south Greenland and the 4th largest in the country. Qaqortoq’s museum is spread over 4 buildings. The main building is the oldest one in the twin – a black-tarred building from 1804 that used to be the colonial administrator’s home. It was designed by a royal Danish architect and shipped over from Denmark. The yellow building close to it used to be the town’s blacksmith.

Around 45 mins of evolving colour at sunrise in Arctic Greenland. Well worth the brutal 4am alarm call, don’t you think? The purple / pink hues at sunrise in the Arctic are unique, and you can enjoy it at leisure as the colours evolve quite slowly, so there’s none of the (sometimes) crazy headless chicken running around fumbling with lenses / filters and other paraphernalia!
